The Office: The Blackout by Chris Roman - Series - It's another Halloween -- Dwight's costume is used against him to expose his relationship with Angela. The office suffers through a blackout. 34 pages - html, format
Overall, it's a good start. It's far too long for an office episode, but I think that you could afford to cut a lot of stuff out. There seemed to be too many subplots (Kevin and FedEx, Blackout, Halloween, Angela and Dwight, Jigsaw). You might want to focus the episode more. Here are some other things I noticed that just felt a little off.
- Pam wouldn't be interested in playing first person shooters.
- "Jigsaw" isn't quite a cultural icon, and might be a bit obscure for the audience. It made for some funny situations, though. Maybe expand on Jim's prank, make him really torture Dwight.
- The "Package" joke was dragged on for far too long. You could probably just have the package line and leave it at that.
- I understand what you were going for with Angela and Dwight. Dwight's fear that Angela might be hurt is what caused them to be more open about their relationship. You might want to focus on Dwight's worry more. It seemed like he didn't care that his girlfriend was trapped in an elevator.
I was going to say that Jim wouldn't answer the question about who he would want to spend time with in an elevator, but I realized that this would be a fourth season episode, and Jim and Pam would be going out.
You're right, I just read about this. Office scripts are actually up to 36 pages long, which seems nuts to me. That's a lot of wasted time shooting a lot of deleted scenes.
