Perhaps it's not fair to judge a script based on a logline alone, but how can we be expected to want to take the time to read this if the writer can't string together five coherent sentences?

Quoted Text
But he refuses to stop at nothing until he finds it.

So that means he's willing to stop before he finds it. Really, that's what that means!

Criminy.

Dashawn,

Hi mate. So, I've taken to reading this after your email, and I got to say, it's a real struggle.

Page 6: And the the problems with spelling, grammar and punctuation are making it very difficult to get through this. Now, there could be a stunning story within, but when a barrier as oppressive as that is in my way, it does make it very difficult.

My number 1 piece of advice would be to spend a few days reading as many scripts as you can. Give it a wee while so that you can absorb; and then tackle the English problems.

Really hope that doesn't sound patronising, mate, 'cos it's not intended that way, but for me, it's a real problem to get reading the script. A script reader would not doubt be far more sensitive to those problems than I, so let's nip this issue in the bud.

Andrew
