The Screenwriter by Garry Alexander Reid (Gazz11) - Short, Melodrama - An uninspired screenwriter struggles with writer’s block, writing his own life. Deciding to twist and lie about his life to benefit the screenplay becomes the worst true story imaginable. 3 pages - pdf, format
I don't recognize your name. I've read a story similar to this before and like that one, this goes nowhere. If your going to do something like this, then make it payoff. IMO, you failed to do that in this 3-page EPIC.
Run spell check.
I don't know what screenwriting software your using, but I'm sure they have a way for you to get rid of those (cont'd) next to the characters dialogue.
I'd re-think the intercut. I'd also question you emphasizing "DELETE and ENTER." It get's wearily after awhile.
what's the point of this story? why? why? why? u don't have to woo, wine and dine me, but please give me something i can chew on for a few minutes after I'm done reading. sometimes you read something bad and it makes you think, this one just made me think. see There's no reason why i wrote this, and its a big let down. i wish there was more, coz i like the idea of writer's block.
It's a great release to write about your writer's block but it's very tedious for screenwriters to read stories about screenwriters. (I know cause I wrote one.) I didn't mind it, didn't hate it and there's the problem. I should feel something.
I'd like to read some of your work after the block is gone or before the block.
