First of all, it would be better if you could convert the .doc file to a .pdf and upload that. It's usually a bad sign when a script is uploaded in .doc format... and this is no exception.

You're just new. Your writing is fine... kinda. What I mean is, I can see that with a little practise you would do OK.

Code

FADE IN:

INT – JOEY HARPERS ROOM - DAY

The alarm clock in the room says: 07:40. JOEY HARPER lies in his bed
with empty clouded eyes. He HEARS HIS PARENT’S  speaking in low
voices from the kitchen. He looks at a poster of Frankenstein on the wall.
“The monster” looks at him with dead empty eyes and Joey gazing back is
mesmerized with adoration.

Code

FADE IN:

INT – JOEY HARPER'S ROOM - DAY

A digital alarm clock reads: 07:40.

Muted voices from the kitchen.

JOEY HARPER (96) lies in bed gazing with adoration at a poster of Frankenstein on the wall.

Code

INT – AMY HARPERS ROOM – DAY
AMY HARPER sits on her bed still dressed in what she wore out that evening.
She has just come back from a horrible night at the funhouse and slipped into her room
without her parents noticing. She is pale, shocked and exhausted. She looks dazed and unfocused.

Becomes...

Code

INT – AMY HARPERS ROOM – DAY

AMY HARPER, pale, shocked and exhausted, sits on the bed still dressed from the night before.

Show, don't tell.
