Since no one's jumped on this yet, I'll give you my impression. It's definitely feels more like a SNL or Mad TV skit rather than a story.  I'm not so close to this genre, and the fact it's a draft from 1981.  Not sure where I was back then.   So, I think I'd be doing you a disservice by critiquing this. However, I will say this: it's a very difficult genre to write... far far far more difficult than it seems, so to elicit a laugh is quite an achievement. I laughed.
