Reads like a Month Python skit. Very clever and very funny. I thought maybe you were spoon-feeding just a bit with this line:

NARRATOR Fuck you Ikea...

But then you hit the ball out of the park with the final punchline.

CHEF I’ve heard of them. Mob of cu___

A very compatible list of elements but inventive with less than commonplace setting and characters.
Theme was there too.
Very enjoyable.

I'm all for thinking out of the box, which you definitely did here. These were some sweet variables you no doubt saved for the end...good call. You took it in a Monty Python direction which is awesome.

I really enjoyed this. Great job, writer!!

Laughed at -
Isn’t ’chef’ a French term that
won’t be first used until the
nineteenth century?

Landed in Norwich and sacked Durham... I know it's a comedy but they aren't anywhere near each other... or is that the joke?

Ah Sauron... as you were.

Not quite to my normal comedy taste, but this did raise a chuckle or three, read along at a good pace and the frozen dinner was very inventive.

Good job

You better impress the hell out of me - you've the easiest combination of requisites yet!

And now for something completely...well, you know.

Impressive. You definitely didn't take the easy route with using your requisites. Some fairly funny moments and decent banter along the way. At first, I thought it'd be good to give Smartarse Guards 1 & 2 names but I think it worked better this way. They definitely didn't need names and would be fitting names when the credits roll.

Enjoyed this - good work, writer.

Sure I missed a lot of the historical references and probably some laughs along with it, but those I picked up on were quite good. Really was a funny idea with the frozen dinner reveal, forgot all about that.

History doesn't excite me much but I think your short could serve as an idea of screen time dedicated to both educational and entertaining material.

What if it's a youtube chanel with shorts like that. It could be animation or real inexpensive costumy set ups. For kids surely but I would want to watch it myself.

Anyway, if I said I'd watch it apparently I liked it. It was def entertaining.

Was going to say these variables go so well together it practically writes itself. Then I see we're in 1016 AD. Interesting.

Very funny and entertaining, though I'm not sure the location of Sauron's invasion was historically accurate.

Feature-length scripts:
Who Wants to Be a Princess? (Family)
Glass House (Horror anthology)

TV pilots:
"Kord" (Fantasy)
"Mal Suerte" (Superhero)

What the hell did I just read?!?

That was great. So much fun. Giant frozen bull... only thing better would be to make this the origin story for those gawdawful Salisbury steak dinners.

Cheers to all who dug this. Been saving this since the original list was put up lol. I pictured a banquet hall in medieval times ala GOT not a modern wedding function place and then the image of the giant frozen bull was immediate too.

Was a pain to save them though as it made using the other variables tougher but I managed it. The theme wasn’t a part of my writing for any of my scripts but most of them fit it by chance lol!  Getting the instinctive ideas down was more important then ‘shoehorning’ a theme lol.
