Has anyone got any experience with adding a title to IMDb? I know we have a few filmmakers here so I'm hoping for some advice.
I've been trying now for four month to list my upcoming film All That You Love and it is becoming a beyond frustrating exercise. It has been rejected upwards of 20 times now. I add more info - rejected. I add less info - Rejected. I supply proof of payment to cast and crew - Rejected. I supply third party sites detailing the production, the Kickstarter that obviously shows it exists, the Facebook page - Rejected.
What the hell am I doing wrong? Have others had issues in the past? And if so, how did you finally get it listed?
The are so many pre-production titles with almost no info at all, I just don't get it.
Weird. It's usually pretty easy. What are you crediting yourself as? I think only writers and directors and producers can add titles.
It has been an absolute nightmare!!!
I'm credited as writer, director, producer, and cinematographer. I also have 5 credited actors and a few other credited crew. I've supplied so much info I honestly have nothing left to give. I guess I might just have to wait until the film is done and I can send them a link.
Maybe it's the fact that you are crediting yourself as writer that is rejecting it since it's based on a SK story? Do other Dollar Baby films have imdb credits?
When I fill out the info for a new film, it will usually tell you that this or that needs attention and needs to be fixed. Are you getting anything like that or is everything "green" and then it's flagged later?

I'm crediting King as "Story By", that's how most Dollar Babies are listed with the "Written By" given to the writer of the script, so exactly what I did. So yes a hell of a lot of Dollar Babies have IMDb listings.
I'm getting everything green and then it's rejected a day or two later. I've addressed the issues (I'll put up a screenshot of what it says), but it just keeps doing the same thing. Argh!!!!!
This is very interesting. I submitted my son's video game to imdb with no problem. I didn't submit it as a member of the team. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt10962022
With that being said, my initial submission was bear minimum to get accepted and once it got ok'd, I began adding to it - added the sound folks and musician and review links.

It looks like you are making progress, tho.

I really don't understand what the issue is. I slowly built it up to include every bit of info I could every time I got rejected, then last week I did the whole thing with again with almost nothing with the same result.
I can't help, Warren, but I sympathise with the agony that is often filling out online forms or documentation and it rejects your info down to the most infinitesimal thing. And of course there's never anyone to talk to...
I hope you get to the bottom of it asap.
P.S. James has done a few of these lately so hopefully he might have some advice.

I'm sure we will get there eventually, but yes it's very frustrating.
I just relisted it with the absolute bare minimum info about an hour ago so we will see how that goes.
Wow, it shouldn’t be that hard. I have a friend do all mine. I just go in and make edits, add awards and such. I’m wondering if the fact the King is listed on there is getting you a red flag?
Maybe have someone outside of the project try to create the page, then it’s easy to edit. Do you have any friends with IMDb pro? (Even though I don’t think it’s necessary to create a page)

I don't think so as every other Dollar Baby on IMDb has King listed.
I just had my most recent rejection come through, it had the bare minimum info they wanted and I didn't list King at all and still a no go.
I will try again once the film is done and I can just send them a link.
