I'm finished reading and reviewing Round 1. I just want to say well done to all, and wow, some of you have completely nutty imaginations. It was also nice we got some good humour in some of the scripts.
It’s always like Christmas when the scripts are posted. Then quickly turns to Halloween when the reviews come in.
Well said 👍

Pretty sure I got through all of them! Feeling woozy from touring so many haunted houses and ill-fated space crafts all before a work day. RIP to our fallen fictional females, too. Fun reads! Excited to see what’s next.
There's a running theme that women are just plain awful with the exception of the one in any given group. Way more than I expected.
Are you okay? Was it Mommy or a big sis, or did you have your heart stomped on by an ex? Do we need to call in the therapists?
It does amuse what themes or patterns these things throw up. I always recall my first OWC, i think, which was gothic horror and half the scripts talked about ‘over grown weeds’ in the driveway etc

Will go back and look at a couple again as i feel i have been a bit harsh so far.
My conclusion is that there are some really really good concepts in this that would have benefited from the normal week - the very short time can be seen, which is understandable. Mine included.
I know for myself that a couple days of reflection, checking whether something is clear, consistent etc are valuable to help the flow, and not have matters that throw the readers.
A couple days off and there we go again 😱😱😱

In the case of horror, maybe it softens the blow a little when reading about lousy women who get slaughtered, rather than nice ones.
Read some of the comments for The Smoke House. "Those poor innocent kids! For shame, writer!"
