Dear John,
one can never be too sure what's occurring behind those neat suburban curtains . . . It almost reminds me of an old Australian joke, where the husband awakes first to whisper "You awake Sheila?" Wifey rolls over and replies "I wasn't really in the mood but seeing as you've asked so nicely. . ."
There's so many ways to spin the Trump nightmares - demolishing her defences / dropping big penetrating bombs / the cruel backspin of the Press Corps - maybe the biggest of them all is the on/off relationship with the gorilla.

Only Spunt himself knows the real answers.
Hopefully he can find them in a darkened hallowed place where many gather - not a Cathedral but a cinema - as a shared experience to garner enlightenment, understanding, as others hold our very selves up to the flickering mirror of metaphor. Speaking the very words whose essential essence require five rewrites.
First you build it - then they come (or something)  Best JtF --

Haha JtF. Great comments made me chuckle and then hold my breath. Where is Chuck going? Only he knows the answer to that as you correctly stated. Touché my dear friend.

I keep reading this over and over again. It hits different. It's funny like the usual Chuck Spunt short but this has a rhythm to it. Very clever.

I don't know if it's a British thing but, I think I see a type. At the top of page 5, you have a saying, "Like a cat on heat." I think it should be, "Like a cat in heat." Like I said, it could be a British way of saying the same phrase but worth mentioning.

“Like a cat on heat” is what we say this side of the pond Michael. A cat in heat sounds funny too. Thanks for the read.
