China Bears Mao and My Love by John Banks - Comedy - Herein the horror of the 20th century is muted, while the magic is emphasized. The story is inspired by true events and the people within them. The people are quite fictional. But events may remind some of the life of Mrs Ruth Harkness, and the Brothers Quinn. Mao Tse-tung’s poems herein are his word pictures but differently recombined. Mr Nass’ may remind you of the brilliant rhymes of Mr O. Nash. The Roosevelt brothers and other historical figures are only suggestions of the real individuals. Pandas and Dragons burn away brightly. 101 pages - pdf, format 8)
