SimplyScripts Screenwriting Discussion Board  /  Things you are looking for  /  I need a 10 minute script for my production class!
Posted by: ABennettWriter, March 23rd, 2010, 6:37pm
Hello! My final project for my production class is due May 26. I want to film in April and edit in April and May.

Here's what I'm looking for:

2-3 actors
Mostly interiors
One or two exteriors
10 minutes max, with credits.
Drama or comedy

This is a student film so I don't have the money to buy anything. It'll be made with school issued equipment on a weekend between my homework and work schedule.

Another part of the assignment is a project notebook. I have to storyboard the movie, line the script and write a shooting script. I'm starting now so I can get all this work done. I have another final for my editing class but I don't have those details yet.

Please submit your scripts to austinbsteel@yahoo.com or reply back here with links to other sites.

Thanks so much!

Austin

Hey Austin,

Check out my site (below in sig) to see if there's anything you can use.  All my scripts are listed there, with the genre and page lengths.

Shelton - I love your writing but the scripts I can use (the ones under 10 pages) have locations or props that I don't have access to or scenes that I just can't shoot. Thrill of the Hunt is a great script that I can't do justice too.

This project is my official first film. I'm looking for something small. Mostly dialogue. Not a lot of crazy action (sorry Shelton). I need to be able to shoot it over a weekend or two.

dogglebe: Are those the only shorts you have? I know you've written a lot more, right?

The only real rule I have is that it can be between 2 to 10 minutes, max, with credits. I'm open to the number of actors (but I'd prefer 2-3) and the locations, as long as I can film it around San Francisco.

You can try mine. Next Step might suit. Or it might not. It can be adjusted too. Have a look. If so, lemme know ABS.

As FC usedta say "I'm listening".

Rendevous: I'm having trouble reading your "Next Step" script. Could you email it to me?

I have about a dozen shorts.  You can find them in the 'scripts you have posted' board.

Are the scripts that are already produced off limits dogglebe?

You could also check out pia's and mcornneto's shorts. They should have 10 pages long or even 5 pages.

Abs,

My "Shoot from the Hip" is an easily filmable script, and can be adjusted to remove the exterior, and to change the Nicky, Nicky and Nicholas characters to separate people.

Good luck with whatever you choose.

Austin,

James McClung did my short Covert Careers (comedy) for his school project last year. It might work for you as well.  http://www.simplyscripts.net/cgi-bin/Blah/Blah.pl?m-1177887247/

You could take a look on my website. I think I have 40+ shorts there.  http://swamptales.us/screenplays/short/  :)
