I almost thought this one was better than the first. Why? A few scenes I just loved. Others were boring, but I still loved. The movie had a great look, and factor that in with Bill actually dying and hey, you get yerself a Kill Bill vol.2.  Not as action packed, but when it happens you'll love it. Great exotic-esque soundtrack.  Now I must wait many, MANY years for volume 3.

I just laugh and laugh when Q.T. talks about UMMA winning an oscar for these movies though.

Her acting in these films are above and beyond anything stupid and cheese ballish in movie history.

"I'm gonna Kill Bill!!!"

Whatever, the only thing your killing is your acting prospects...

Of course "this is only my humble opinion"

Take care you all and now I'm off to find something to do on this closing fiday night.

Since there is usually a small pool of STRONG female roles to choose from come Oscar time I think Uma will probably garner a nomination. I am not a big Oscar fan, but I think Uma did as much as anyone could have done with the role and it was cool to see a girl kicking ass for a change in a movie.

The last really serious BAD ASS chick I can remember was Sigourney Weaver in the Aliens movies.

Well Uma played the role well I don't think it garners an Oscar nomination. I'd be surprised if she gets the nom.

Uma was emoting her ass off.  That's all I have to say on that.

I thought Vol. 2 was better than the first.  The script was frankly just brilliant, especially Bill's monologue at the end regarding Superman.  The action was damn cool too.

Uma has the same effect as Milla on me nothing, people keep saying she's hot. I kinda watch the film for the film not the women in it, it's good that a average women gets the roles like this.

The overall hot women of hollywood should just stick to being naked on a porch and having children like they do so well

Wes,
Quite a misogynistic viewpoint.

I don't think you'll be getting laid anytime soon with that twisted take on the female species.

Got a girlfriend?

Is it really all that wrong to think normal looking women make better leads than really good looking ones?

Was I really going to get laid anyways? There are many other factors than my views on people that stop the laying of myself or something along those lines

I think maybe I dug a hole to deep and with that I think I'll duck out the back door

Kill BIll Vol. 2 was better than Vol. 1 not because of Uma but because of the script. The first one was good but lacked the plot and dialogue of Tarantino, the second renistalled that and it became brilliant. Gotta agree with Heretic though, that Superman monoluge kicks ass! Just a quick queston. Does anyone else try to consider KILL BILL one movie?

I also agree that Uma isn't what I'd consider hot. SHe's a fairly average woman who is a pretty good actress adn I'm glad Hollywood is still giving her the chance to perform. Too often the theatre is filled with super hot actresses with no talent.

I actually believe that Kill Bill 1 and 2 are actually just ONE movie. It's Tarantino style to chop movies and make make the different.

If you think about it, KB 1 is the second act, the big chuck of the story, without introduction/explanation (a.k.a. act 1) nor resolution (a.k.a. act 3).

That's what make it very special  ;D

It jumps around to much to be one film, plus if they were one film why show Bill in the second film but not the first which is the second act according to sophie?

I don't think it was made as one part, the second is better than the first by far. I hated how Bill dies, the exploding heart thing is stupid but hey they are two of the most entertaining movies today

On the Uma thing again, she actually did her own stunts or at least that's what she said.

She did do her own stunts, Tarantino refused to use any CGI or stunt people.  Funny story actually..Uma can't drive stick, so in that one scene in Vol. 2 where she's supposed to pull up and brake outside Estebar's whorehouse, she kept screwing up, and over/undershooting it -- then, the one time she did it perfectly, she parked on a chicken, sending blood and feathers everywhere.  I think Uma's very talented.

It was in fact made as one part, but Miramax decided it had to be chopped into two parts, I believe against Tarantino's wishes.  I know that it was shot as one movie though.

Agree with Sophie that Vol. 2 is the second act, but I think it has a resolution as well.  Uma's story would have to be resolved, since Vol. 3 will be concerning Nikki's revenge on the Bride.

Oh and frankly, Wesley, holes don't have back doors.
