I WANT THE WORLD OF WRITERS AND PRODUCERS TO KNOW! I just previewed one of the few good industry books ever written! I need to share this experience. I was handed a preview copy of Hollywood producer Jessica Russell's new book, '911 HOLLYWOOD EMERGENCY'. My friend was given a copy to preview for his producer boss she knows who will contribute an interview.I just had to put the word out there. I have already reserved a few copies for writer friends as gifts. You can check her out on the web at zinklerfilms.com and go order on (WWW.GUPTAPUBLISHING.COM)I do not know where else the book will be sold. The book was written with indepth and candid information so critical to a writer's business and the person who is trying to produce. I never knew so many answers to the questions in my head until reading her book. She offers candid, blunt, critical -even scandal-es info about the industry and how the prducing and writing business works. She discusses common practices in the business which producers use which are scams against writers and other producers. I was shocked to see so much real information packed into this publication which we all need to use and never thought about. She teaches us the business in the real life way and applies it to the industry for our protection. It is finally nice to s someone give back! Ms. Russell has accomplished so much and faught so many industry battles to protect her property, reputation, and company. She seems to offer her experience and knowledge to all to us so we don't come close to what she writes about. Now I feel I can re-invent myself as a professional screenwriter and know how to protect myself and get ahead using her insight, and secrets.....
This book is not full of fluff or babble! she has resource, step by step, stories, legal how to's, secrets to the sky, discusses practices of writers, unions, guilds, producers, agents, managers, and the stuff I guess we were not to understand as outsiders. give the girl a award! I applaud you Ms. Russell and thank you! CM
