Anyone hear of one of this coming?  I personally think they are dumb and hard to sit through, but it's fun to see which movies they spoof.

yes it already is in the making... and its pg13 again and it is based off of superhero movies (Dont know how thats scary) but yeah

They need the Wayans Brothers back, the 3rd one was alright but when you take comedy that's dirty and make it pg-13 it hurts the work a lot. The first 2 had the freedom to have The lead shot with fake semen in both movies I believe.

The third got rid of that kinda stuff and the wayans for what? Charlie Sheen? And a few Rappers that would be better with swearing?

The best scene in all 3 is when the priest walks in the room and is like "F- this" and walks out, an improve that is funny but not enough to make a franchise.

They said they watched a lot of films to do these ones so i guess some credit goes to watching a lot of boring films, if they do one about superheroes and actually use the real actors again it will probably make a lot of money

I wouldent see it 4 2 reasons.

1) PG-13 Rating
2) Superhero???? This is suppose to be SCARY MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!

What i read is that they are still doing horror films but adding the superheroes into that, plus I don't think it'll ever happen now. Might have been cancelled

They were supposed to start filming months after the release of the 3rd one but never did, eventhough imdb says 2005 other places say it was supposed to be started filming in 04 or late 03 after the third.

I heard a while back that they might shoot 4 and 5 back to back, then release 5 shortly after 4. We may never be rid of them if that's the case.

Hey if they bring back the Wayans and drop the childrens pg 13 rating I'll be happy, pg 13 gets in the way of art. Imagine how many more people would have watched Spiderman if instead of talking Mary jane was naked, Spiderman 3 A Kiss from beneath.

No I'm joking but still if that's what they want to do, somebody sell me a gun.

I liked Scary Movie, it was foul, it was gross, but it was incredibly funny. But Scary Movie 2 had too much gross out humour and too much of it was recycled. Scary Movie 3 seemed too tame and was essentially aside from a few moments, it was just lame. I don't think Zucker was right for the movie, and The Wayan's brothers proved to be a one trick pony.
I'm not going to see four simple because, now it's just beating a dead horse. And superheroes, come on now. If it's that, then call it "Super Movie" or something along those lines. Personally, I think the franchise had it's run.

I like the SCARY MOVIE series, and they should make more episodes!  Although the Wayans Brothers did great things with the first two movies, at least the third one continued following the same main character.  As a movie-goer, I'm interested in seeing what happens to her next.  She is an interesting, dynamic main character, and I can't wait for her next adventure.

I think it's been cancelled because they haven't updated much on it since earlier this year when we had this conversation here.

Personally I think some movie exec got a clue and decided to do another unoriginal crap pg-13 horror film.

Their still discussing the superhero thing cuz also in 2006 David Zucker is making a movie spoofing superhero movies called SuperHero.. But who knows every site you go to has a different thing on the movie. If they do use the superhero spoofs im sure it'll be like 8 Mile was in Scary Movie 3.

They had a preview at King Kong for this, Carmen Electra is starring this time I believe but who knows.

What is wrong with parody's? as long as there well done and not redundant (ala scary movie 4) i see nothing wrong with them.

Gotta play it safe huh Higgonaitor, I'd play it safe and just say neutral stuff as to not make anyone be defensive but the rules say we cannot attack each other... I didn't read anything about Hollywood and or remakes/sequels to bad or average films.

I didn't see the 3rd Scary Movie for almost a year after it came out and now I noticed they have a new version of that one... an extended version.

They need to get real comedians to write the screenplay and not the same guys who made Scary Movie 3 average at best even if the one has wrote almost all Leslie Nielsen's films or at least the ones people liked.

I like the Scary Movie series, and personally, I think this is going to be good. I've never really seen the first one, and the second one was weird, and I loved the third one, so I don't know how this one will do, but I think it will be good.

Ah well, I suppose the people in Hollywood still need to pay the bills afterall. What's the point of trying to come up with NEW premises when there's already a franchise sitting there with some life left to suck out of it?

The background (Toilet etc.) looks flat almost like it's a cardboard cutout. looks like a bow and arrow with a dildo on the end... I wonder how much they paid this actor to put it on, in fact I don't want to know.
