I just got back from the theatre for this movie. Although i must say i wasnt pleased. the beggining was cool and it had great scares, it just kinda got confusing and sorta lost most of the audience in the end. i think that they should of shown more of the 'Boogeyman' and it would have been better. but overall it was on OK movie.

Is it just me or is this a PG-13 rated rip-off of "A Nightmare on Elm Street"?

the begining with the dad was good. but it was confusing at times, and the ending was just stupid. I thought mor people were gonna die, instead of just a few.

I'd say it pretty much started on a high note with his dad getting served and then went straight downwards from there, hitting rock-bottom at an un-exciting, disorienting, confusing, and uninteresting climax.

It also needed more sex and violence.  Lots more.

I'll agree with heretic on this one, an average film with a terrible pay off. These horror films in this day and age are not getting better as most of the other genre's have, if they don't do a better job and stop making them pg-13 family films the future of horror film looks bad.

I think everyone thinks it was a bad endong beacuse you're not getting what it means.

It means they don't know how to make movies, the Boogeyman looks like the monster from The Mummy after they wake him up.

It means that Tim beat the Boogeyman from his past, that's exciting. And now they can make 8 sequels and ruin the idea forever like they always do.

And if it is from his past, that means that each sequel will be prequel to the last one. Right? At least that would be original.

Then again, not having actually seen the movie, perhaps I should stay off this thread...
