What a great movie this is, and one of my favorites of all time.  The screenplay was writen by Billy Bob Thornton which he won an oscar for in 1996.  He also stars as Karl Childers, a simple semi-retarded man who befriends a boy and his mom in a troubled relationship.  Thornton was nominated for an oscar for best actor.  Don't expect a huge budget or big stars or action, but do expect a great drama and great acting.  A kind felt story with a disturbing feeling to it.  One of my favs, *** 1/2 of ****.
