I heard a song on the radio today. They never mentioned the name of the song, only the name of the band and the album, "Frances the Mute, by Mars Volta".
I will be purchasing the CD. Their song was so cool.
They are a band out of L.A. The Detroit News had an article on them. They said they couldn't figure out if Mars Volta was genius or junk, and that their album could be described as "insane".
Well, then, I must be insane, because I think they are brilliant.
A must hear for everyone!

The title is The Widow (I'll Never Sleep Alone)

He's got fasting black lungs
Made of clothes splintered shardes
They're the kind that will talk
through wheezing of coughs
And I hear him every night
In every pore
Every time it just makes me want to
breathe without an answer
Free from all in shame
Must I hide?
Cause I'll never
Never sleep alone.

It reminds me a lot of The Raven by Poe, and the music and the soul involved in this piece is just so gripping.
