I just finished watching this movie again, except this time to the end and have to say I really enjoyed it!

It's the most convincing of any werewolf movies I've seen, thus far...ok, so I am comparing it to Mr J Fox's performance in Teenwolf, lol, but the costume and the part where he changes into the wolf were sooooooooo brilliantly done.

All the crunching  :X and body distortions  :X and sound effects  :X were quite grisly, really very good and convinving!

If you haven't seen it, definately check it out, and the 2 disc DVD is well worth a look for any die hard horror fans! I'm sure the 21st Anniversary Edition will not be a disappointment to anyone. I may check out the audio commentary tonight too, we'll see.

I liked the one in Paris, never seen this one though. Are they sequels of each other in diff places or two very different films about the same thing?

Sorry, I don't know Wes, I've never seen the Paris one, but would like to if it's anywhere near as good as the London one!

I love werewolf movies.

An American Werewolf In Paris is not a sequal to the original. It's just similarily themed, but with different characters. Even though it bombed in the theatres, and was heavily criticized, I enjoyed it. Some good special effects, some bad ones...

The Howling series is also okay. The best one is the original obviously, and there are some highlights in the many sequals, but most of them are very poor.

When the girl straddles the guy in the bed and rips her shirt off and she changes, I wasn't expecting that. I believe thats how it went, haven't seen it in awhile.

When you see scenes like that in these types of films it's almost expected, like an unwritten rule that if the two leads don't have sex somewhere they never will so they do.

In that case, I've seen about half of this movie on TV.  I thought it was passable.  Heard 'in London' is a lot better though.  

I heard that as well but In London is harder to watch, the Paris one has been on tv like 8 time in a week awhile back.

Wes, definately check the dvd out, it retails for about $13.50 on amazon.com, and I'm sure you won't be disappointed!! If you have a multi-region player the UK version has a nicer cover if you ask me, though more or less the same features, going for the same sort of price once converted.

I use my pc's dvd player and it can be set as no region specific. Isn't that odd though, the American/Canadians get on some cases the ugly weak cover and otherplaces get awesome covers.

I could always buy the picture paper and make my own but it's weird, I'm one of those people who cares what the cover and the case looks like. If I buy a used dvd it has to have a perfect case or else I'll look for another.

I've been lucky except on two films case haha I'm weird in that way.

It's an older film, 1981. I'll give my local place a call and find out how much it'll be.

Dog Soldiers - werewolves vs soldiers with big guns - COOL!

Best werewolf movie ever made ----> THE BOY WHO CRIED WOLF -- some love it, some hate it but it was a very gripping and suspense filled movie, however much you did or didn't see of the so called wolf.  The movie was smart and it tricked you and made you look like a fool in the end, just as the name implies... thus most morons in the world hated it, cause it wasn't traditional and down your throat like all horror movies have to be.

Check it out. It's brilliant.

Were wolf movies are so ho hum though anymore... Ginger Snaps wasn't my thing, I didn't really care for it or it's many many many many follow ups now. DOG SOLDIERS was decent, but the cow tossing is and will always be gay. WOLFEN sucks. HOWLING's all blow but the second one with that really hot blonde and the cool "simple minds -like band" SILVER BULLET was absurd, all but for the hot ass sister who needed and still needs an 8, 9, 10 interuption done to her.

I've still to see Cursed though....I think I may have watched The Boy Who Cried Wolf, but that was so long ago I can't remember it now....

Yeah it was 70's maybe early 80's... I doubt it though. If you can find it, check it out again, cause it is really really good. Again, a lot of people didn't find it to be good but they also probably think it should be a traditional werewolf movie too. This is one that wasn't so basic at all.

I was even more set to see it when Corey Feldman was originally cast in it, but then he was axed  :'( - oh well, there's always bordillo of blood... but theat sent me to sleep!!

Would still like to watch it though.

This is probably the best werewolf movie ever made, I loved it, I don't know if this is classified as a comedy or a horror cause this is one funny movie as well, the part in the porno theatre cracked me up, and the make up effects were great, I like these kinds of werewolves, not the cg kind like in underworld.
