Yesterday, I had my first production meeting regarding 'Suicide.'  It was a learning experience.  The script would be produced by a fiilm student, but by an independent producer.  He showed me some things that he's worked on which was impressive to say the least.

I have a good feeling about this.

After the first meeting, neither do I...

'Suicide' is being produced by the guy posting on these boards as 'MattC.'  We spent most of the time just getting into each others' head in regards to how this script should be filmed.  We discussed my experience as a writer and his as a director and how we could shoot this script without stepping on each others' toes.

Matt explained a lot of the technical aspects and how to avoid many problems that new film makers have.  We also discussed resources at hand.  He have the equipment for production and post-production; I have the bar that most of the shooting will take in as well as a make-up person.

In a nutshell, I guess you could say that we discusssed our relationship in the entire project.  More on this later.

Yeah, I saw a lighting test he had posted on a link for and I have to say he's a good director and you're probably one of the best writers on this site so in that sense so I'm curious to see how the short turns out.

I saw a short that he worked on.  He shot a scene with what we called 'hospital room lighting' and, in post production, turned it into a romantic lighting.

Hell, we even discussed a craft service table.  Is this professional or what?

Sounds cool, when I was involved in a short "Fated" not on this site or anything we had a director that wanted every little shot and camera angle so the thing took HOURS to film for a 15 min short, think it was over 40 hours.  Well, we were kinda not focused a lot of the time.  I acted in it and the director, producer, ect are finishing it up and soon it will be online.  Are you guys going to try to enter "Suicide" into any contests?
