This is a short film I did for the Indie Talk Online Original Film Competition last Fall.  It ended up sweeping the awards and has recently been accepted by The Chicago Really Short Film Fest.

Shot in a single day and edited within two weeks of the wrap party (due to contest deadline), "Sometimes They Come Loose" is a sci fi thriller about a man who awakens on the floor of his suburban Kitchen confused and disoriented.  Who is he? How did he get there? And what is that he found?

Let me know what you think.

I did try and watch this, but it took ages to download and then my stupid stone age computer refused to play it (don't worry, its not your technology thats lacking it's mine). Anyway your website made me laugh. Welcome to the board.

Sorry about the file size.  I unfortunately know doodlie squat about encoding and whatnot.  My editor says that is the smallest he can get it.  I have been on him to make available a Windows Media Version, but that has yet to come to fruition.

In a good or a bad way?  We will be going through a redesign shortly, and I am riding the webmaster about updating more often...there's a message on the main page that states that we will be shooting on March 18th, which is a month in the past.

Anyway, thanks for the welcome, I hope you can figure out how to download the movie.  I let you know if a new file is added to the site.

In a good way - I particularly enjoyed the bios.

Someday I hope to have a computer that is small and fast, and on that day I will try and download the file again.

I watched it and I thought it was alright, great filmmaking as far as visuals go, but for stories it was sort of vague. The entire script reminded me of "Cube", you know. I take it you're a fan, right?

Thanks.

That was intentional.  I want the audience to come up with their own conclusions about the "what" and "why."

Actually, I have never seen "Cube," but you aren't the first person to make that connection.  If there was any homage in there, it was an homage to "THX 1138."

Thanks for the comments.

Really, well if you haven't seen "Cube" you should really check it out. It's brilliant.

That's what I've heard.  I really do need to check it out.
