Vin Diesel will star as Agent 47 in 20th Century Fox's upcoming adaptation of Hitman, the best-selling video game franchise.

Diesel also will serve as executive producer.

Anythoughts  ??)

Vin Diesel sucks as Hitman. My opinion, the role must go to Jason Satham.. The Guy from0 'Transporter'.

Why is he still getting roles in Hollywood? This guy has about as much talent as a dog catcher or an ice cream man. I'm sickened by his movies and wish the guy would get struck in the nuts with falling debris from space.

Also, video game movies all suck... in most cases worse than the games they are generally made from.

I agree with Agent Smith, Vin sucks as HITMAN... however, that Jason guy sucks too, though. I don't think they should get anyone to play HITMAN, cause the movie is gonna be a huge waste of money. They should just give the money to the homeless or me.

Gotta addmit, that guys looks the part... he really does. Funny how people pass some people up
isn't it? I mean, V.D. is a non acting prick, who isn't even decent at anything he's ever done. I'm pretty sure this movie is gonna bomb, like most of his flicks do.

I know, Vin Deisel is the guns a blazing, let's blow the fuck out of everything, and try to avoid as much dialogue as possible kind of action star. I always saw the Hitman games as stealth and more along the lines of Jason Satham style.

Diesels only good films were Pitch Black and The Fast and The Furious, simply because he was a secondary character, and wasn't relied upon to carry the movie. Every movie he's starred in has been shit.

It's a shame, too. Because Hitman seemed to have so much potential, now it'll just be another dumbed down actioner. Maybe Uwe Boll will direct and completly ruin Vin Diesels career, that'd be a laugh riot.

I'm just crossing my fingers that I'll have enough time to write that Twisted Metal movie before it's made into some dumb-fuck-make-Joel-Schumacher-films-look-good actioner.

U Know Some people are born to play some charcters...Like Arnold was born to play Terminator, Sly for Rambo, Keanu for Neo...Like that Satham was born to play HITMAN..!!

His New movie Transpoter 2 open in U.S this month on 2 sept.. It ROCKS , it's the no:1 in Box office chart, toping down "Dukes of Hazzrd"...May be this sequel will help him to know better...

I wish,, I liked the original Trnspoter... It was directed and Choreogrphed by Coury Yen my fvorite Honk Kong Aaction director..

Why not make a film about a video game like Grand Theft Auto?  Not only can that be a very good film with the right director, but it won't be a piece of garbage like Chronicles of Riddeck.

Let's not make a film about a shitty video game... It'd be just like all the other movies out there right now. Bang! Blow up! Bam! Kill ya! Explosion! Blood the end!

I'm so sick of videogame movies and remakes... A movie doesn't even have to be 10 years old to be remade now. Hell the Punisher was remade, already. Batman was remade, basically.

And what pisses me off more than anything... 2000 maniacs was remade, much to the dissaproval of H.G. Lewis. You don't remake certain movies, you just don't!

2000 maniacs, questions its content all you want, it meant something to the genre. It still does. It was the 1st movie, H.G. Lewis's Blood Feast aside, that threw out real gore and dismemberments and made innovative kills in horror movies a thing to do.

You don't remake classic movies. I'm sick of them ruining and assing everything up. So back to my original point... Leave videogames and remakes alone!!!!!!!!!

Hitman is a cool game. It's either an above average stealth game or an aboe average action game but the presentation, atmosphere and choices make it great. It's hard to predict what this movie would be like. It's unbelievable if Vin diesal plays 47 (even if he keeps his mouth shut) steatlh like b/c it wouldnt work. Jason could pull it off, but he's a good actor and part of that is he knows how to say diaogue. I always imagined 47 older, but quiet. Jason did a good quiet in the transporter 1 even though i disliked it and i saw it when i was like 13 and at that time those movies shouldve appealed to me.

I heard Uwe Bowl mite direct somewhere. If that were true then it would be an action hitman movie, simply b/c uwe bowl does not have the patience or attention span to try stealth. Also hed miss the point of the game, creativity which uwe bowl does not have. I think the games never had a descent story, it's just the agent 47 guy they should take. OTherwise i think they should give it there own story but approach it as a good movie, not as a quick buck. Then we mite see good things.

Hey all, today I was browsing through IMDB, and it's not Vin Diesel as the cold, Agent 47. It's Timothy Olyphant, a guy who kind of has a resemblance to him. So yeah... I'm excited for this one, because the script got a review that it is going to be one of the great movies of 2007!

I think Vin Diesel looks a lot more like Agent 47 and we all know he has the physicality to play the role. But Timothy Olyphant has something that Vin Diesel doesn't: the ability to play more than one character. Is it just me or is Diesel exactly the same in every movie? I dunno, I like the decision to cast Olyphant instead. I think he's a good actor, fantastic on Deadwood, so he'll do a good job. Let's just hope he still looks all right with his head shaved completely bald.

Skip Woods I also like. Well, I liked Swordfish. That's as much exposure to his work as I've had, but I liked it and I liked the game as well. Never played it much, just watched other people play it for a while. So I'm looking forward to seeing this. It'll be nice to have a decent action flick.

Cheers, Chismeister.

That's very true, Vin has always been the badass who everyone seems to be terrified of. I was even terrified of him in the Pacifier! : )

I've never really seen Timothy Olyphant's acting, but I've heard good things.

I saw the trailer before Live Free or Die Hard and felt a chill because I do enjoy the games so much.

When you really think about it what will differ this film from any other "hitman" film that has been made and that is where you get worried.

Hopefully they keep Agent 47 away from any silly situations where he becomes "human" to a certain extent.

I noticed they make every film nowadays a comedy.

I haven't played the games and have never been into the whole crime/action films, and this trailer doesn't really give me any reason to change either of those two things. In my opinion, all of the footage I saw looks very corny.
