First Pictures of the sequel villain Davey Jones. Looks pretty impressive.

I'm excited for this movie. When I heard there was going to be a sequel, I feared that Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom and/or Keira Knightley weren't going to be in it. They don't strike me as the people who'd do a trilogy, especially Depp but they're all there! And Bill Nighy is just brilliant, his ultimate contrasting roles in Underworld, Love Actually, and HBO's The Girl in the Cafe are proof.

Wow!  Now that looks like a good sequel!  Those parts with the hammerhead and what looks like a giant squid looks pretty cool.  Can't wait!

Any book you haven't read is a new book.

I thought that Keith Richards was supposed to be in the second.

Wow, that trailer was great! Who could believe a movie based on a Disney world ride become so successful? I'm still waiting for the Epcot movie. ;)

I've only just heard about this trailer, and as a fan of the first film (and a fan of pirates in general) I am happy to see that this sequel looks very, very good.  After this past Summer of great movies, it is good to see that next summer is all ready shaping up to be very good as well.  But, to echo what is written above, I also had heard Keith Richards was to play a rather major part in this sequel, yet he seems to be MIA throughout the entire trailer.  What gives?

I watched it yesterday and it was way cooler than the first one. It explains the story a little better. I CAN'T wait for this film!

"Rolling Stone Keith Richards was set to make a cameo appearance as the father of Captain Jack Sparrow but Richards had to pull out of the project due to his commitment with the Rolling Stones world tour. Johnny Depp had previously said that his performance was based on Richards."

Shame, that.

I would like to have seen Keith Richards and Johnny Depp try to 'out-Richards' each other.

Keith Richards apparently had a Rolling Stones World Tour committments. He's also fell out of a tree in New Zealand recently and has head injuries:

I just saw the more recent trailer on IMDB.com and it looks great. More action footage and it tells more of the plot. What I found more interesting (and confusing), though, is that at the end, there's a flash of Keira Knightley and Johnny Depp really, really close.

I noticed that too. Hmm...I hope so. That would be hilarious. Orlando Bloom (the ultimate pretty boy of the world) getting dumped for good old Johnny. lol

Im not the biggest Jonny Depp Fan, not a fan at all. But I think he turned in a great performance in the first film. I won't be waiting for the new one, however I'll wait for it to come on and rent it or something.

But that was one of the best parts of POTC: Elizabeth and Will :( (I'm such a girl...)
I hope Will pops in right at that moment and we have another hilarious Will-and-Jack fight like in the first one.

Just thinking about it makes me want to go watch the first one again.

This might have something to do with that scene in the trailer were Elizabeth sits alone in the mud, in front of an old altar, wearing a dirty and torn wedding dress.

I cannot wait for this film to come out.  I never thought I would ever in my life consider a Walt Disney movie to be one of my favorite films, but it's true.

This movie looks like its going to be badass.  They really stepped it up with the action sequences.  The trailer I saw when I went to go see MI:III was great.

07/07/06 baby!

I saw a behind the scenes look, and supposedly, Will and Elizabeth are supposed to be getting married when Jack ruins it all somehow.

My guess is that Jack's at the wedding and the forces of evil come for him, thrusting everyone into a battle and ruining the service...perhaps old Will gets carried off by baddies for some reason or something.
