Terence Howard and the supporting cast were outstanding. The story was honest and raw with sprinkles of comedy in just the right places. You could literally feel the desperation that comes with dreaming for the damn near impossible. For those that are giving the movie a bad rap (pun intended) , they're probably so far removed from this life style that they can't begin to understand the characters struggle... or maybe they were offended by the skinny blonde girl being pimped out by a black man, because if nothing else, you have to give the actors their props for their honest and inspired portrayals.
