This series is awesome, by the way. I'm involved in it, and I really like some of the things we're working on. I'll be writing episode 5 (and a few others). I also did the graphics for the series (like the title and episode icons posted above).

Good job on a good episode, Ian! Can't wait for episode 2!

Alden has to say that.

Over at the Lost Virtual Season II offices, we have him locked in a dungeon, and only feed him bread and water for every time he writes a scene involving horrible cannibalism.

I actually sorta like it down here, the rats play with me.

Seriously, working on this is like a dream. Probably because I'll never get to actually work on the show, and IA agrees that I'm smarter than him have good ideas.

Quiet you scourge!

Insorbordination will lead to you writing many more scenes involving Charlie and his invsible friend Hector,

Ahhh, Charlie. I wonder how the fangirls will like our portrayal of him. We'll need a few shirtless scenes to please them!

Huh - no uploads for 2x02 yet.

Ah well, sod it. I'll just have to start posting them

Just read the two part opener.

I'm a little disappointed with what the monster is turning into. I hope it's not going the way I think it is.

Locke is getting annoying. How many times can he talk about hope in one episode?

But it's shaping up nice. Not too keen on the formatting. But the plot seemed pretty good. I liked what was in the Hatch, the file on Jack, and finally getting to see the other survivors.

Will read episode 3 tomorrow.

not to sound mean and i'm sure you're a great writer... but this series seems kind of pointless... why are you continue a series still in continuation? LOST is still very successful and has it's own great writers and it will probably continue to be very successful for a few more years? why are you writing a second season? with one already in progress? i think you should try to write an original series... atleast it's something fresh

Now, don't get me wrong, these are good scripts... but, why didn't you think of your own series? It would be a lot easier, because you wouldn't have to link up the gap between the finale of Season 1 and where you are now.

He hasn't added a script since last July, so he wrote back then. He hasn't updated it in a while...I agree, though. He should continue it.

Yeah, his series is good, but there's not much point continuing it if there's already a second season! It'd be like him writing his own first season!

Okay. Let's get this sorted.

I started a Virtual Season Two before S2 started. This was a good year ago. We got five eps in, and I got cold feet and quit.

Was it the right decision?

I have no idea. All I know is that I was burned out, and didn't feel I could continue at all. So I dropped it, alienating many people in the process, and let Alden take it over.

He started it up. By the time he had, I felt ready to give it another stab. Not in a big honcho role, but as a writer. We got 2x01/2x02 done (a few other eps almost done), and then he decided to take a temporal break because we were struggling to really nail 2x03 (an ep which shifted from writer to writer without much success.)

Will it be back? I have no idea.

Why do it in the first place?

I'm going to come out and say that this started as my need to see some of the Lost storylines continued before September 05... then it became a direct 'This show's getting really lame, I need to channel my energies into helping the Virtual Season do a better job.'

The problem is that people who don't like Lost... a minority. The rest of y'all love it apparantly, and this was reflected in some reviews. It's not wrong to compare us to Lost, but we were always taking it in a new direction.

That's the story. In my opinion, and I'm sure there'll be disagreements, so this isn't by any stretch of the imagination complete truth.

As for the real Lost... 2x01 'MOSMOF' was better than 2x01/2x02 'Genesis' (which I consider one giant episode)... but the 2x02 of Alden's one (which we co-wrote) is, in my opinion, Helluva degree better than 2x02 'Adrift'.

As I said before. Feel free to disagree.

On the score of me and Alden's 'original' shows... he's helping out with a soap opera esque show called Pathways, and has a few other neat projects in the pipeline. I'm sticking to one show myself (Jackson Cruise - soon to be in series section here), and when that ends I'm going to take a break and see what I can do about another VS floating in my head.

Enjoy the scripts

Ian!
