I have currently been looking at some sites on my favourite movies, and I discovered that Grudge 2, and Ju-On: The Grudge 3 were being planned/in production.

Apparently, The Grudge 2 will not star S.M.G, but I'm not sure. I really can't wait to get my hands on that copy of the Ju-On 3 DVD ;D

Kayako rocks!

Is Ju-On a different film or is it a subtitle for Grudge 3?

Actually,

The Grudge is an American remake of Ju-On, which is a Japanese film. There is also Ju-On 2, and two V-Cinemas.

Its offical, Sarah Michelle Gellar has signed on to reprise her role in The Grudge 2, but she will not be a main lead, she will end up passing the curse on to the new lead character

I don't know if you guys feel the same, but this movie scared the living crap outta me. (Shiver) The scariest part for me was when they were looking through the pictures and that lady was always in it.

I just don't understand why they made the exact same film for America and not just dub the film but I guess they wanted to make more money by adding a face like SMG.

I guess it's because Hollywood is running out of ideas.

So true...

REMAKE FEVER has hit Hollywood.  That's such a lazy approach to filmmaking, I'm sorry.

Watch Hills Have Eyes (2006) and King Kong (2005) and then tell me that was lazily made.

This movie scared me, and I guess it would be cool if there was a second one.

The Dawn '04 remake was pretty awesome in my book.

This was one of few movies to freak me out. I even pushed back watching Ju-On to recover from the Grudge. It kinda sucks too that I'm buying a house. What a crappy time to watch the movie. Hopefully we close this week. We looked at it twice last month and I'm not dead yet, so I'll probably be ok.

As for remakes, I don't mind them as long as they add something to the original. Psycho in 98 was a big "what's the point?" They added nothing to the original; they just filmed the original again. Now Ringu to The Ring I felt was an improvement. They added stuff to the original and produced something worth seeing that wasn't a shot for shot remake of something else.

I haven't watched Ju-On yet, but if it's just an English version of the Japanese, that's still something. After all, if that's what the Japanese one looked like, I think they hit the mark...although they could have characterized a little (no, a LOT) better.

too much blinking and flashing light in the trailer, I thought I was about to have a seizure

I forgot to tell everyone that I saw this trailer when I went to see Talladega Night and a first happened.

Apparently this trailer was so scary that the projectionist had to turn the lights on in the theater because so many people were screaming.  I never seen anything like it before in my life.

I mean the trailer was good, but don't ever let a trailer scare you that much where the lights in the theater have to come back on.

It still boggles my mind right now.

Wow, a Grudge 2! I thought the first one totally rocked and was so scary. I can't wait. I didn't know it was from a Japanese movie though. Is Grudge 2 a remake of the Ju-On 2 movie? Does this mean we could see it before itcomes out? If so, that is awesome.
