Is anyone else having the same problem as I am, When I click to log out at the top of the forums page it brings me to the other screen "are you sure you want to log of" I hit yes all the time but It never logs me off, so I appear to be logged in even when I'm out with close friends or working on my other computer and not even on Simply Scripts.

Has anyone else got this problem?

Something similar has been happening to me lately.  This all started after I downloaded Netscape 8.0, but what happens to me is that I'm on forum, then I click to a different website, then I hit the BACK button to go back to SS, I am no longer logged in.

I didn't sign off myself, but I now have guest status and it still shows 'eddied2' as an active online member for a few minutes even after I’m kicked out.

Weird.

Eeddied2 - The online box states it's for members who've been active in the past 5 minutes... So I presume that's why your names still in there for a few minutes after you've logged out.

Well that's a good point, and might be the reason for KINGPIN'S problem, but I don't know why that sometimes after I leave the forum for another website and go back I'm logged off without ever doing so myself.

Thanks,

Edward

They have a ranking system of how many posts you have... look on left hand side of portal and you'll see top twenty or so...

I', still having loging off problems, I press the log out button and it keeps me on even when I'm not on simply scripts, It never asks me for my User name or password.

Why is this happening??????

Mostly likely you are seeing a cached verison of the page when you go back after logging off.  Please let me know your operating system and what browser and version you are using.  Also, enable quick log off in your preferences.

That's a good point. I've seen that on other boards I've been on occasionally. You can usually see the most current version of the page by refreshing as a quick fix.

My operating system is Windows XP which I use for surfing the net, but I also have Windows 98 still on my computer on a partition drive so that I can use both, and my IP/BROWSER is AOL.
