Funny. I just watched Harold and Kumar an hour ago and wondered to myself, "It'd be cool if they had a sequel called 'Harold and Kumar go to Amsterdam.''' And there it is. Weird...

Harold and Kumar was so funny, and I always hated slapstick but this was just hilarious and this is one of the very few that I wouldn't mind paying 7 bucks to see the sequel.

Talk about beating a horse to death with a frying pan, if a film does well leave it and don't make more to screw it up... idiots, I tell you.

Harold and Kumar go to White Castle director Danny Leiner talks about a possible sequel here. If you dont want to read through all of that, here is basically a summary.

---------------------------------------------

Are you involved at all in the Harold and Kumar sequel?
Um, you know what, it's a tough situation because I love Harold and Kumar but it'd be really hard for me to do both Harold and Kumar and Gary [the Tennis Coach, his new movie] and I'm committed to Gary so we'll see what happens. Unfortunately I think they kind of have to go. The answer is Harold and Kumar I think is happening, knock on wood. Unfortunately, I'm not sure if I'm gonna be able to be involved because it's happening in a timeframe when I'm committed to Gary.

Can you give us any hints about what they're gonna do in Amsterdam besides have a lot of sex and smoke a lot of pot.
Um, I really can't. I do know it's a lot of fun and there are a lot of diversions along the way. I'll put it that way.

Is Doogie Howser one of them?
I'm not gonna, I can't, I'm not at liberty to say.

Production Weekly reports that this sequel is planned for a late January start date in Shreveport, Louisiana. John Cho and Kal Penn are set to reprise their roles as Harold and Kumar.

In Harold & Kumar 2, the cross-country adventure follows the pot-smoking duo as they try to outrun the authorities after being suspected as terrorists when they try to sneak a bong on board a flight to Amsterdam.
