SimplyScripts Screenwriting Discussion Board / Questions or Comments / Questions about submitting a short story.

i wanna post my short story. My first attempt on writing film noir. how do i do it? do i need to be registered? does the script have to already be on the internet? can i upload it from my computer? after i've posted it can i go back and edit spelling errors?
a couple of questions about this form:
http://www.simplyscripts.com/submit_your_script.html Your name*:
i'm obviously supposed to put my name here. my surname to?
E-mail address*:
my email adress obviously.
Script title*:
the title of the script
URL of script:
what the hell am i supposed to put here? the script isn't on the internet.
Name of the host site:
what am i supposed to put here?
URL of host site:
(If you wish to have simplyscripts.com host the script, you will have an opportunity to upload it after submitting this form. Please note, your file can be no more than 500 kilobytes.)
does this mean that i can just skip this and just upload it on the next page?
Anything else? Comments? Questions?
is this gonna be visible to the people who read the script or just the people who's hosting the site?
how long does my script have to be?
how long will it take for the script to be posted there?

It's really subjective. I post my surname, not sure if everybody does.
It says specifically that if you're script isn't on the net don't write anything; the next page'll take care of that. Leave those fields blank and submit.

You make your corrections and resubmit the script. I'm sure Don would like it better if you made the corrections before submitting it, though.
Yes.

If you want Simplyscripts.com to host it, you skip this part.

Anyone who visits the site will be able to read it.

There's no minimum length.

A week or two. It depends on Don's schedule and how many scripts are sent to him. In the meanwhile, you may want to spend some time reading other people's work and how people review them.

There's a 'quote button' on the upper right corner of everyone's copy box.
2. "Anyone who visits the site will be able to read it."

Don will be the only one to read your questions/comments. I misunderstood the question.

No. You have to visit the site to see it.
I'd like to think that you'd be visiting the site and reading/critiquing other people's work. Those who just post their stuff, without reading others, generally don't get read that much.

Those who don't read don't get read. It's a quid pro quo thing. These boards are filled with filled like this. You'll get out of this site what you put into it.

Look under drama.
