H.G. Lewis's abstract venture into "what else" wig making???

No, actually this is a movie about well... wig making, but the way the wigs are made it the key.

An old lady and her retarded "and yes he's beyond gone" son run a boarding house/wig shop. Nice, huh?  Not if your on the other end of the lease.

The game... To get the girls with the most beautiful hair and have them board in the spare room while they attend college. The room comes at a very good price, so no one going to school is gonna pass it up, right?

Well... after woman start to come up missing police and another student grow weary of the little ol' lady and her unbalanced son and start to do some P.I. work of there own.

This movie is crazy! It's out there! It's bizarre... it's sick... It's twisted... It's everything you'd expect from H.G. Lewis, of course  but even kinda further than that... the thing about the movie that haunts you isn't so much the gore and the way the women are killed... but rather the son. His acting and his just actions are creepy.

This man is a nut. I'd also like everyone to note.. that this movie was well before TCM and that the HITCHIKER has nothing, nothing! on this man here. He's just ... wow!

Anyways... this movie is the only movie I've ever seen where someone is killed with an electric knife. H.G. always came up with new ways to off people, but a scalping with this device was something to see... really. It's even more disturbing that up until then he was scalping the women with a rusty knife and he got the electric knife for a birthday present. LOL!

Alright, enough of the ramblings... Go check this one out... It's brilliant and another notch in Lewis's belt of horror and gore before anyone else would dare do this stuff.

3.5 out of 5 -- While good, it has moments of just nothing in it. It has some filler that he had to throw in just to make it longer and it shows. It has some off beat scenes in here as well. Stuff that actually will haunt you... Buddy being one of them. He's just... he's scary to me.

The scalping's are all done to good effect and the pain on some of the women's faces are pretty realistic.
