If you are a fan of asian movies, and of the dark kind, then this movie is for you. I think it's extrmemly original, has an outstanding cast and the storyline is just shocking. It really is. I don't want to give anything away, it's just worth all the surprises.

Check "Old boy" out if you can. I don't think you will be disappointed with it. I just ordered my dvd copy today!

It was shocking I tell ya, shocking, but brilliant :) Was amazed by Min-sik Choi's performance, incredible. Must check out his other flick "Sympathy for Lady Vengeance".

Kenney, check out "Dumplings: Three...Extremes" if you can. Hasn't been released on DVD in the states or UK yet, but I believe it's available on Region 3. Good lord, I couldn't believe what I was watching. Not as good as 'Old boy', but still really good, especially the subject matter. Don't want to give it away here though....

Ye I've been searching for that one, because Takashi Miike directed one of the segments, he's good too. As for "Sympathy for Lady Vengeance", I've never heard of it but will check it out, the synopsis sounds intriguing.

Andy,

I'm looking round the video-stores at the moment. No luck yet! Macedonia is known for it's pirate-dvd's (I haven't seen ONE original yet). *Still Looking*

Thanks,

Curse!

P.S - I've been cool! How about yourself? What's up?

Nice to hear from you  ;)

Good luck finding it!! I hope you do.

How is life abroad treating you? Missing the UK yet? I just came home last weekend, and have been struggling to get used to the old life! Doesn't matter though, as I am off to Canada in Feb/March for a year, so not long to go till the adventure begins again! Have to let Stewart and Alan know I will be in Vancouver, so I can pop along for a visit if they are free... anyone else who wants to meet up should let me know.

Take care,
Andy x

This film was excellent. The revenge plotline was cool but the twist took it to an entire new level. I'd been disappointed by most Asian films I'd seen prior to this (except for Takashi Miike's films which are equally great) but after this, I'm more inclined to delve deeper into their industry.

I'd tried to see Three Extremes as well but most unfortunately, it was taken out of theaters before I had an opportunity.

Hey James, you can buy it region 3 if you have a multi-region dvd player. If not, it's worth the wait  ;)

Yes I loved this movie. I saw it last year. It turns out a Korean kid in my dorm I know's 2nd Cousin is the dude who directed it and my jaw dropped.

I loved this movie. I'm very disappointed that they're remaking it though. I think they should have just given it a wider release when I came over to the states. If it didn't lose to that Fahrenheit 9/11 it would have been the top thing at the Cannes which would've prevented hollywood from remaking it.

I've seen Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance, it was brilliant! It had about 3 different revenges in one movie. I have yet to see Lady Vengeance.
I have seen the first segment of Three Extremes, I didn't like it, it was also from the director which I didn't knew from the three and this segment showed why.
I haven't watched the second segment in it's entirety but this one was brilliant so far, again a revenge story from mister Park. Can't wait for the ending of that one and for Mike's segment :)

I can't believe I haven't seen this yet.  It looks really awesome, pretty captivating cinematography.  In the trailer, with him leaping out of the briefcase, and the big fight... wow

hope to see it soon.
