::) Hey guys and gals, what happen when have we  in this site a script with zero replies? Do we kill ourself, call  our mothers for a help or simply change the title and the logline and post it again?

I've skipped past numerous scripts because of a bad logline/synopsis.  Like the script, it should be thought out.

You do what Phil said or you go to the Script Review Exchange, something that I think not enough people take advantage of.

People start new threads in that exchange and get no replies... simply put just reply to older ones and you might get somewhere.

Most of the time those with no replies are by those who post something and go away hoping that we will read it but that doesn't happen, our members take care of other members before part timers who want it all but aren't willing to give anything back.

Yeah, fair enough Wes. I figure I'll review about 5 feature length scripts and 10 short scripts, before I put any of my stuff up for review.

You don't have to go that far but a little effort goes a long way, that's all I'm saying. Read work by those you might want to read yours in the future and give some of the newer guys a reason to read other work.

I know a lot of people have busy lives but like I said a little effort goes a long way.

I would say beyond placing a script review request in, if you just review scripts for other people (particularly those of whom you want to read your script), generally those people will appreciate your review to the extent that they'll read yours. While some might find it a little tactless, I wouldn't mind seeing a request at the end of a review asking for a read. It seems fair to me.

I think if somebody leaves a 2 line review and at the end says "Hey, read this" that person probably won't get many reads in the future.

At the end of the day I think most people who send in screenplays want to know what you liked, what you didn't like and possibly how can they make it better. Beyond that is format, spelling and grammar, they matter but I think a lot of people care more about the story itself.

The core group of reviewers we have I'm happy with, it's just the 1 liners we need to do away with.

Days later I went to these zero scripts just do know why they were zero replies and I notice that many of them were bad formated but with interesting stories. I'm not complain about my scripts but I think everyone here deserves to be read and reviewed and of course return the others same affort.

I bet many of these no reviewed scripts has a good story behind. I'll try to list them all and see how many they are and who is bahind them.

Just as well I have just one script no reviewed. A short named The Holidays that in reality was my first scriptwriting English attempt.

I don't review scripts with no replies unless I know the author is an active board member. I'm all for people posting on their own scripts and saying "hey, this is my first script, I need some feedback" - if I know the guy will read and appreciate the feedback, I'm more likely to post a review.

I'm with you there. I want to know that the writer exists before I'll read and review. It's kind of pointless to spend severa hours on a read and review only to learn that the writer stumbled across the site and doesn't know a message board exists. He's only hoping a producer willl pick his script out of the hundreds and say, "This is just what Mr. Boll has been looking for!"

Yes Dr. Mabuse brings up the dark underbelly of the website; this has been the biggest problem for a long time now. I think in order to fix this from happening we need strict rules for sending in screenplays and it all starts with us.

If you attach your screen name when you send the script in like the one option says we can avoid these problems but a lot of people aren't members when they send in screenplays or just don't care because they are only here for themselves.

I could run through my own personal list of people who are this way (Surprisingly a few of the older more prominent members are as bad as new ones who don't know any better)
