Been reading scripts on SimplyScripts for a while now, but didn't notice until recently that there was a Discussion Board here! During my current wip, I came across a few questions, and thought that this might be the perfect place to pose them.

I've been writing for a few years now, and am currently working on a full-length treatment (about 108 pages into it - running out of space!) called "Dying To Meet You". Hope to get some feedback on it soon.

I'm really looking forward to posting here and getting to know you folks.

Any survival advice?  :D

You just found a great community, there are some great writers and reviewers here. The golden non-written rule would be: read others stuff if you want to get yours read; there´s even a special board to set up this kind of exchanges.

Welcome  ;)

That happened to me, too!  For, like, two months!   And I've heard it happens alot.

Go figure.

Glad you figured it out, though.  Good luck with your stuff.

Thanks for the heads up, I will certainly check that out; sounds like a totally reasonable if not enjoyable condition, haha.

Thanks for the well-wishes, bert - I felt slightly dumb for not noticing :B

It was six months for me, and even then, I didn't really "get" it until a few months after that. Kind of a hidden gem in here. Hope to see you around here more.

Maybe Don should advertise the board a little more? Anyway, welcome Alexander.

Welcome Alexander (yes, everyone else, I don't say that enough to the new folks that join).

Z, you are right,  I need to advertise the board a little better and perhaps codify a little more the 'unwritten' rule.  Suggestions are never ignored, just it takes me a little time (days, months, years) to act on them.

It was almost a full year for me before I figured out there was a board.

Haha, thanks, glad you recognize it.

It's fun to read a script from someone you can actually respond to and vent to. Discuss the script, rather than just reading something already up on the big screen.

I hadn't looked at it this way at all, and I definitely agree with the aggrivation that comes after reading a bad, produced script. I'm looking forward to exploring other's work.
