I'm looking for an easy-to-animate short film. It doesn't have to have been written for animation, just one with only a few locations, only a few characters, etc. For length, it can be anywhere from ten pages to twenty pages.

The reason I'm looking for one to animate is because I've got a small team of volunteer 2D animators (3 people) who are willing to help on a short film. I can't tell you that we'd be able to do it, because this is a see-if-we-can type of thing.

If it did work out, we would run it through a bunch of festivals. As far as payment, its sort of...if we make money, you make money type of thing. But we'll be able to talk all that out before we begin production.

Also, the only other thing I ask is that the script doesn't have profanity or nudity or any of that stuff. :)

Thanks!

-Landon

PS: I need a script by next week (Monday) so I can turn it in to the producer for approval and so we can go ahead and begin pre-production. Because we're new at this, we would be in production for the rest of the year, and then the film (depending on the length) will be released in winter of 2007.

Um... it'll be tricky to animate, but check out my script 'The Universe Explained?'

No cussing or nudity, but it does contain disturbing images and angry monkeys. You have been warned.

I just read this and thought it was good, but you were right. It would be tricky to animate. I'll consider it and let the people who'll be helping me look over it and tell me what they think.

Anyone else got anything?

Price Check on Film Noir is only a few pages long with very simple characters and settings.

Dreams in Dust and Marble is longer and more complex but it was written for someone to do as a stop-motion short.  Very visual.

I've read "Price Check" but not Dreams in Dust and Marble. I'll check it out. Thanks!

I have a four page script titled "Garbage" in the shorts, where God has a look around Earth to see what it's become. The way he does this is he drops a one dollar bill to Earth. It blows around the streets, and he can see everything through the eye of the pyramid on the back of the dollar bill, then he knows what he must do... Trash it from the universe. There's no profanity or nudity, but there is a man doing heroin in an alley.
