Plot Summary: In "Ice Age: The Meltdown," our sub-zero heroes from the worldwide blockbuster CGI film "Ice Age" are back – Manny the woolly mammoth, Sid the sloth, Diego the saber-toothed tiger and the hapless saber-toothed squirrel known as Scrat. In the new film, from the Academy Award®- winning creators of "Ice Age" and "Robots," the Ice Age is coming to an end, and the animals are delighting in the melting paradise that is their new world. Manny, Sid, and Diego quickly learn that the warming climate has one major drawback: a huge glacial dam is about to break, threatening the entire valley. The only chance of survival lies at the other end of the valley. So our three heroes, along with a mammoth named Ellie (Queen Latifah) and her two "brothers" – possums Crash and Eddie – embark on a mission across an increasingly dangerous landscape towards their salvation.

When I walked into the theater with my little brother I wasn't expecting all that much. I was really surprised at how well done it was. The first one in terms of animation wasn't all that great compared to the many Pixar films. But it had a good story and good characters, so thats what brought me back to see this one. And now that I've seen it, I thought it was great.

The story of this one wasn't as...big as the original, but it was very different. In the first, the three characters have to get the baby to its father. In this one, they're trying to escape death. There weren't as many locations in this one as last time but there were a few new characters.

All in all, this was very entertaining and is a good family/kids film that they won't get tired of watching...unlike Doogal, which in my opinion was a complete waste of time and money.

Lets just hope they don't try and milk it anymore and make a third. Every movie doesn't need a trilogy!
