SimplyScripts Screenwriting Discussion Board  /  Questions or Comments  /  Portal in order?
Posted by: Higgonaitor, April 29th, 2006, 12:27pm
Is the portal not working for anyone else, or is it just me?

The top part of the page loads, but the bottom half does not.  I was wondering if this a problem that my computer is having, or a problem with the site.

It's working for me, it's just on a slight delay.

I'm having HUGE delays getting to simplyscripts and the messageboard. I started trying to get on last night and this is my first successful logon.

Same here, I have a high-speed connection but everything is taking forever to load and the portal refuses to load.

Hi Folks,

Well, I've removed the "Dial Up connexion emulator" from the discussion board...

Turns out that my fancy RSS feed is what was slowing things down.  I went with a third party which is down, so the page was held up from loading until the java script timed out.    So, in the mean time, I've removed the RSS feed and will look into hosting the feed burner on my server.

Apologies,

Don

Don,
I still can't access Portal and it took ages for this page to load.

Any ideas?

Try CTRL + F5   That should clear the cache.

Hey Don,
I had tried that yesterday (from 2 different PCs).

BUT...it's working fine today (hoorah!).

Turns out that I forgot to remove the code from all of the templates.  Now that I have done that, the discussion board should respond better for everyone.
