SimplyScripts Screenwriting Discussion Board  /  Getting to know you, getting to know all about you...  /  Garbage

Well, it looks like this one is getting produced. The man who wants to produce it makes his own models (cars, motorcycles, jeeps, to name a few) so the script will change slightly to incorporate some of his models in it. He said it would take a while to produce it, and that's fine by me...

Now if I could find someone to produce Damned Yankee...

Hey Cindy,

Congrats on this.  I got an email from him as well about a week ago (Joe right?)

He asked about some of my work, and said he was looking for something similar to Garbage, which I assumed to be something with no dialogue.

All I have in that regard is Holiday Tradition, which I think is good, but would be kinda out there in 3D animation.

Hopefully he'll put Garbage up online.  I'd love to see it when it's done.

I always saw this one as animated.  But I guess models could be cool, too.

Keep us posted.

I've heard of a few people getting scripts sold on this site and I've always wondered, do any of the productions receive distribution? Do the writers actually get paid? Getting a script commissioned is an enormous achievement, and yet when someone here says they've got one sold, there doesn't really seem to be any hype about it. I'd be screaming the boards down, believe me! LOL!

Thanks everyone.  :)

Mike, yes, it was Joe.

Bert, 3d and models will be cool!  Have to get those two tone glasses  ;D

Ghostwriter,
Getting produced doesn't always mean "sold". There hasn't been any talk of money, and I really don't expect any from this four page script. To get it produced "is the best" that I hoped for.

Chris, maybe you will. I don't know what kind of plans he has for it.

Hey Helio! Thank you.  :)

Abe, my grandkids loved Tattoo. Starr, my granddaughter, loves to write, too, so she's always into what's going on with my scripts. I'd at least like to have a few scripts of mine filmed for the kids so that when I'm gone they can watch them, and tell others that their grandma wrote that, ya know? I self-published a book a few years ago, had pictures of the family in it, too. My granddaughter took the book to school, and her teacher told her she never knew anyone who was in a book before. LOL
My granddaughter thought that was pretty neat.  :)

Hi Cindy. You're in the Atlanta area aren't you.  I think I saw a posting of yours on another website out of Atlanta.

Hi James,
Well, no, I'm not out of Atlanta... I'm from the Detroit area.

What happened there? Well, I was searching the web for independent producers, and found that site.
I was hoping to find someone interested in one of my scripts, and I also wanted to steer producers to this site because I feel there are a lot of talented writers here. I thought a producer at that site might find something for their next project here at simply scripts.
