Hooray, filmed in Calgary!

I went up to see the filming of this but ended up on the set of Walter Hill's 'Daughters of Joy' instead.

The only reason I'm seeing this is for Zooey Deschanel. And the title! What a mouthful! It's called The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford (I think).

Well, at least that Elton John song "I Feel Like A Bullet In The Gun Of Robert Ford" makes more sense now. It's a hit or something, though I've never heard it on the radio. Sorry, only slightly off topic, but it did have to do with the movie title. It just occurred to me a moment ago.

My wife dislikes Brad Pitt for some weird reason, so I'll be seeing this on my own if I see it at all.

This opens in Australia on Thursday. I'll be there front and centre, with my wife, on Friday night. FILMINK magazine describes this as being a near masterpiece. With Andrew Dominick (Chopper) on board as director and Brad Pitt in the lead role, my gut instinct tells me this is going to be great.
