SimplyScripts Screenwriting Discussion Board  /  Getting to know you, getting to know all about you...  /  The Seven Questions
Posted by: Takeshi (Guest), July 29th, 2006, 5:56am
A couple of years ago, I was listening to the radio and I heard two guys talking about, "The Seven Questions to Unearth Your True Self" I wrote them down at the time and hadn't really thought about them, until I came across them again today. So I thought what better place to put these questions than the "Getting to Know You" board here at Simply Scripts. So if you want to have a crack at answering them, here they are.

1 What lessons do you intend to teach your kids?

2 What can you talk about with absolute passion in public?

3 If money was no object, what would you do with your life?

4 When you're in a bookstore what section do you gravitate to?

5 What notes do you have on your fridge or notice board?

6 What tasks make time fly for you?

7 What do people close to you tell you over and over again?

I also think these would be pretty handy questions to ask about the characters in your scripts.

7. What do people close to you tell you over and over again?
One of two things...
What did you do that for!?!
I don't believe you just did that!!!

Recent example of why #7
I saw a cop hiding, and using his radar gun. I passed him by without incident. A van approached me, and I flashed him to warn of the cop... BAD IDEA!
The van was a police van! I flashed a cop to warn him a cop was up ahead...  ::)
Lucky I didn't get pulled over. My boyfriend said, "What did you do that for!" and said that is a big fine.  Don't know why I did it. Haven't done that in over 20 years....
