How do you do Flashbacks?

Also Is there anything better then CUT TO (not Later or Dissolve To)

An example of a flashback is:

INT. HOUSE - DAY - FLASHBACK

This works also with dreams. But these should be rarely used since many people don't know how to use them effectively according to what I have read.

Rathaer than Cut To and later or dissolve to I use second headings. Second headings are for example:

INT. HOUSE - BEDROOM - DAY

Jim wakes up. He walks to the

BATHROOM

where he looks at himself in the mirror.

There's no story interruption and the story flows quite easily. Hope this helped.

A little searching will go a long way on your questions. This thread is 5 pages long on the topic of Flashbacks, etc.
