According to Moviehole (their source seems legit) it looks like Danny Boyle (from the first film) is keen on doing a second sequel.

Warning: the article contains serious spoilers on the upcoming 28 Weeks Later. Its amazing how one sentence can ruin an entire movie for someone.

Another one alrady? Can't they give the second one time to gestate a little bit? This seems a little rushed to me.

Same with Saw III. The sequel for that, Saw VI, was announced two days after the third one.
