SimplyScripts Screenwriting Discussion Board  /  Getting to know you, getting to know all about you...  /  Already getting hustlers?

Anybody ever hear of Landon Harris? Not more than two days after my first script is up and already I've gotten a verrrrry generic email from an aspiring producer from NC named Landon Harris. Of course he has no work to speak of but would like to talk about "fantastic screenplay Hallow Knights." Other than the title, no other specifics of the script are even alluded too.

There is no way this guy is legit, right?

I don't see how talking about it would hurt anything, it would give you a chance to get more details from this guy. Just don't sign anything or give him any money.

Yeah, I wrote back saying how it doesn't seem like a small project but i'd hear his ideas. I also asked him about the supporting characters and his opinion. Try and see if he actually read cause the email don't seem like he got past the title page.

Landon Harris is a member of these boards if I'm not mistaken. Possibly the same guy who started numerous threads about films he had in production, never completing one that I know of.

I think it might be Chris Harris. Is he legit, I can't vouch for that. However, I can say that he's a 17 year old kid who makes alright films.

Just seems kinda odd that an aspiring filmaker with no experience (from what he said) would look for a 124 page action adventure feature that would have a major studio wondering about the cash they would have to put into it. The whole email seemed a generic "fill in title here" deal. Eh, who knows?
