Are they just going to keep dragging this thing out until it reaches Saw 35?  Blah.

They are shooting parts 5 and 6 back to back according to bloody-disgusting.com. I personally thought the original was the only good one.

Parts 5 and 6!!  Jesus how many times can they rewrite the same story.  The original Saw was a fantastic concept but now they can't replicate the shock value.  Give it up and let it go, that's my advice.  But hey, if it sells and makes money...kerching!

I know it's been said before, but can you guys seriously blame them? These films are extremely cheap and make a killin' at the box office. Why would they stop? Executives are not artists and we can't expect them to be.

As it has been said in EVERY other saw thread...how many they make is really up to the audience. Saw III made way more than the original, and yet now everyone's complaining about Saw IV. But I bet it'll make a killin' too because people go see them for some reason. So, when a Saw film makes like less than $20 million dollars, then we'll have some hope.

Until then, it's our fault.

These guys seem to suggest the opposite. Bousman said they'll actually spend money on production and shut it down completely if the story isn't there. Apparently, these numbskulls think there's actually still some quality in the franchise. Either that or they're lying. Bousman said if the stories and fans are still there, they'll keep making sequels. Otherwise, no. Personally, I've only seen half the equation since the first Saw. Sorry guys, the stories just aren't there.

Ironically, I've had my fingers crossed for a Saw V... and VI... and VII... and so on... That is, I had my fingers crossed for Bousman continuing to direct shitty Saw sequels so the Scanners remake would never happen. Unfortunately, he's passed the torch and now both are happening.

Say what you will about executives. They aren't the only problem. There're still writers and directors out there stupid enough to think there's still merit in what they attach their names to. This interview proves that. However Chris is correct. It's our fault Saw is still around. There's only one way to make the franchise go away...

Frankly, I want them to go. Saw II was okay, and Saw III sucked huge ass. I'm afraid that Saw IV will just be plain horrible.
