Halloween is approaching, so what is everyone going as?  Anyone who knows me knows exactly who I'm going as, just curious what everyone else will be dressing up as ;D

I'm going to Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios with the twins and some of their friends. I was going to dress up as the evil side of myself, but I just found out that you aren't allowed to wear a costume! Bummer!!  >:(

After a three year hiatus from Halloween, I'll be dressing up as a deranged surgeon. Funny thing about the costume. The website's image of the costume included a man holding a giant blood-filled syringe. I thought this was just for show but turns out, the costume actually came with one. Said syringe leaked during the shipping drenching the entire costume in fake blood. There was already some fake blood on it but now it's got ten times as much. Very cool. After three years of "dressing up" as a "myself," a "new kid on the block," or a "loser that hands out candy to little kids," this is a refreshing change. I anticipate fun, possible drunk, times this Halloween.

I'm going to be a Deviled Egg.  ;D

I'll wear a devil mask, and make a costume so it will look like a 1/2 of a hard boiled egg.

Oh, James, I did your crazy doctor costume last year, and passed out candy eyeballs to the kids. It was fun.

My mom refuses to buy me a costume, and I still yet to have another year before I can touch a job. I'm only 15.

So I'm going to write "I am poor -- need candy to survive" and tape it to my shirt. I'll see how that works out. ;)

I'm going to go as Kevan R. Craft a thief

One year I answered the door as a demented Butler.  But first I had my 8 year old neice go to the door and plead with the trick or treaters.  

"Help me! Somebody help me! Please!"  

Then I pulled her away from the door and she screamed and the door shut.  Then I slowly opened the door a crack and thrust my hand out against it holding a long kitchen knife covered in dripping dried red paint. BAM!

You would be surprised how many trick or treaters ran away screaming.  Saved a real lot on the candy bill that year.   :)

I did this, and trust me, it's pricess, in case punks egged your house or anything like that.  What I did was I put my bench by my front door, I sat on the bench for half and hour dressed as a scarecrow, burlap sack and all, and left the candy by the door.  On top of it was a note that said, "Help yourself, but please do not be greedy. happy Halloween."  Some kids come and listen, they're with their folks, I'm not gonna be a jerk, then these guys from the high school down my block, kid tries to take ALL of the candy in his bag, as he lifts up the bowl I jump up with my demented voice and yelled, "I SAID DON'T BE GREEDY!!!  NOW SCRAM!"  This kid FLIPPED OUT!  Oh man, hahaha, it was my finest hour.   ;D

I usually wear something black, but something that is semi normal too. Make-up done to look pale and unfriendly, but still subtle enough that I still look normal. When the doorbell rings I stand maybe 7 feet back from the door and one of the twins opens the door, but out of sight so it looks like it opens by itself and it can't have been me because I'm too far away. Then I just say "yes?"

It doesn't sound scary, but it usually throws people off because they don't know if I'm just a normal wacko or if I'm doing a Halloween thing. If the kids are highschoolers then I act insane, in my most creepy way.

did I mention I love Halloween? ;D

I'm going to dress up as BLACULA!! Sideburns and all. It's gonna be frickin hilarious.

I want to dress up on Halloween and go to school wearing my costume, but unfortunately, we have a Nazi new principal who won't let anyone dress up, but I've talked to a few people who said that they were going to dress up. So maybe if enough people do it, they can't do anything about it. I mean, even some of the teachers dress up. Also, Halloween is on a Wednesday, which means there's going to be running a mile in PE. I talked to my gym teacher, though, and asked him if we could run on Thursday, to, you know, exercise off the pounds of candy we eat the night before. He said "Okay" But I don't trust him, so I'm going to remind him Tuesday to see if he's keeping his word. I don't want to get my slicked back hair and my tuxedo all sweaty.

You know, honestly I truly miss dressing up for Halloween.  I mean I WOULD, but frankly it just isn't the same.  If a kid dresses up as a cowboy and rings your doorbell, you'll give him candy and a smile.  If a 28 year old man dresses up in THAT EXACT SAME costume and rings your doorbell, you'll call the cops on me.  So I'm left without options on that subject.   :-/

I've had people in their 20s as well as people in their 30s and 40s come begging for candy at my door... I don't like it either. It's supposed to be for kids.

I still like to dress up, and walk around the neighborhood with the grandkids so that they can get their goods.

You can take the adult out of the trick-or-treating but you can't take the trick-or-treating out of the adult. ;) I know I'll be doing this as much as possible, no matter how creepy it is. Yeah but you're only sixteen, you can still trick or treat without it being weird.  I'm 28 going on 29 next month, so if you try it, you'll get candy, but if I try, people will either call the luny bin or the cops on me....but when I WAS allowed to trick or treat, I remember I was always dressed in the cheapest costume imaginable.  A ghost, or I'd wear my regular clothes and have this scary looking mask my dad had since 85.  THAT thing was fun to have on.   ;D

I know people are going to think of me as being mean now, but I don't think that's mean. It's just the spirit of Halloween.  ;D

In my opinion trick or treating should have an age limit on it, same as buying booze, but just the opposite...  21 and under.

If you can buy booze, you can buy your own candy.  8)

The easiest way for a grown up to go trick or treating is this (assuming you can't get to Vegas).

Have a baby, dress that baby up as a pumpkin, pooh bear or whatever and pop'em in the stroller.

You are now certified adult valid for Trick or Treating, regardless that the child won't be eating any candy, you have the Awww factor working to your advantage...

Just another Halloween story:

A friend of ours from China had no idea what Halloween was when he first moved here. When Trick or Treaters came to his door he had no idea what these little dreesed up kids wanted. He figured they were begging and wanted something, but he didn't know what, so he did the only thing he could think of. He gave them cigarettes. ;D

We are having a special day for kids at work today. Letting them come in for a scavanger hunt, and trick or treating, and we are supposed to wear our costumes.
I hope I don't scare any kids with my devil mask. I put it on last night, and my dog ran and hid under the bed...
