SimplyScripts Screenwriting Discussion Board  /  Things you are looking for  /  Looking for short script to produce 6-12 pages
Posted by: salilsundresh, November 4th, 2007, 12:57pm
I am a very passionate award-winning student filmmaker that has previously produced short screenplays from writers on this site including Missing and Dead by Mike Alexopoulos & Keith Hilaire and Modern Ethics by Michael Cornetto.

Compensation: DVD copy of film when it is completed and credit.
The film will also be promoted on sites such as SalSunproductions.com, Youare.tv, YouTube, and possibly enter some festivals.

I currently have a project for my Film class that I simply do not have the time to write a screenplay of my own.  I need a script that is 6-12 pages in length (time limit for film is 6-8 mins for short) and shouldn't require a large budget to film.  ie: No huge shoot outs in public places or crazy stunts.  Also it shouldn't contain excessive mature content.  The sooner I get some screenplays to read based on these restrictions, the better.
Please feel free to check out my previous work at http://www.salsunproductions.com

I've got this, but I know you've had trouble casting older people before, so it may not be an easy one for you.

I'd love for you to read my script Room 37

It's a short horror film that requires basically two locations and one car scene...it all takes place in a hotel room for the most part. It would require three main actors and then a baby for some of the shots.

PM me if you're interested so we can discuss it a little bit more.

Thanks!

A quick note to let everyone know that Salil is legitimate.  He did film Modern Ethics and I have seen a rough cut of the film. And though the film still needs some work before it it shown, he did a good job and stayed true to my script.  So if you have a script that is low budget, now is a good time to help an aspiring filmmaker out.

Orange Menace is a comedy skit (a la Monty Python) about a lawyer meeting a very stupid client.  Two people.  One location.

Price Check on Film Noir is a film noir spoof that has done fairly well competition.  One location.  Mostly background characters.

Although it would require some older casting, my short Eternal Memories (link in my sig) is a two locale indoor shoot. Two main characters, two quick others, and you would need to construct the tribute film. Take a look and tell me if you're interested.

I think my script Oblivion might fit the bill. It's short, on location, minimum characters, could be done low budget, and gets a lot done in a very short period of time. Let me know if you're interested.

My script, Pumpkin Love, needs abot four people, and should be pretty cheap to film.  I believe its about eight pages.

The only problem is that it is a bit seasonal and you'd have to film it soon.

Hey,

I think my short "Pretentious Art House Garbage" fits your criteria. One location (more or less), three characters (Two younger, one older), and a fair number of props.  It's a parody of its namesake, admittedly an acquired taste, but if you're interested let me know.

BTW, everyone, salil never said he didn't want a script with an older cast.  He said it shouldn't contain mature content.  (sex).

I pointed it out because he was the first person that was going to do Mr. Gloom, but he had trouble casting the older roles and ultimately the project fell through.

Very true, I probably should have brought this up initially.

I'm still accepting scripts for another 2 weeks, there was an extension on the assignment.

In two weeks time you could work with a writer on a project specifically tailored for you.

Yeah I'm considering right now what to do.  I might just write it myself or work with someone, but if anyone already has some scripts written please feel free to submit.

I sent you a pm, but I might have messed up on the link since it did not go straight to the script.

It's not at SS that's why I didn't want to post it here, but now I've changed my mind. ;D Writer's perogative.

Don't let the title scare you. This would be rated G if it was on film.

Have you called me, my dear Salil? No? You don't know what you're losing, dude.  haha!

So, maybe among all 52 short scripts I have written you would find one, maybe wouldn't.

Doesn't matter...Anyway, if you want to be famous pick up one from these 4 here:
