Do any of you ever have trouble with your printer when you try to print scripts?

On a number of occasions I've tried to print scripts from Simply Scripts and my printer has started freaking out a couple of pages into the job. It prints okay when I have to print other types of documents, but for some reason it doesn't seem to like printing scripts.

I should point out that I occasionally get away with printing short scripts without any problems, but most of the time the printer freaks out and stuffs the job up

Has anyone got any advice, other than buy a new printer?

Is the printer/paper just binding up on you?  It may be something as simple as keeping an eye on it and taking the pages off the tray after about 5-10 or so.

If it's something related to the actual printing, give me a little more info as to what happens and I'll see if I can help out.

It will print two or so pages fine then it seems to shift the margin to the left so that half the page is missing (it left justifies to the extreme). The printer can make a strange noise. This is the only time it happens so it seems to be more a program related issue.

Definitely sounds like a software issue.

Yeah. I'm wondering if it's okay with some screenplay software but no others, because sometimes it'll let me print short scripts no probs, but other times it won't. I'll start taking note of the software that works.

Hey Chris;

Are you using Acrobat Reader? It's free at http://www.adobe.com. Other thought might be to download the script to your hard drive and then print it...A longer script that is still being processed by your web browser might cause that problem, too...

Thanks Joe.
