So, who else here is a big fan of the TV series Dead Like Me? I am raising a hand. My friend introduced me to it about two years back, and so I started watching it once it started getting showed on Sci-Fi.

I immediately fell in love with it.

So I got both seasons, got really depressed that it got canceled (though the second season ended for a good end-of-the-show deal), but I still enjoy it nonetheless.

I went to IMDB and searched Dead Like Me for some reason (I guess I was just seeing some of the background of the actors) when I noticed that there was a Dead Like Me MOVIE coming out this year of 2008!!! It is a straight-to-DVD release, but who cares!? I love this show so much and I cannot wait for the movie! And I read on a comment on Youtube (so it might be just a rumor) that if the movie does well, they might make a 3rd and 4th season, which I hope they do!!

So basically it's about the main characters (George, Mason, Roxy, and Daisy) and their reaping duties. After the departure of Rube Sofer, a new head reaper named Cameron Kane (Lost) takes over. He's a slick businessman who couldn't care less about helping the newly dead. Chaos ensues and brings out the worst in Daisy and Mason who begin drinking anew. George and Reggie re-connect for the first time when George reaps a new friend of Reggie's.

Unfortunately, Laura Harris who originally played Daisy won't be joining us for the movie. Instead, her character will be played by Sarah Wynter (24, The Dead Zone).

You can view the trailer for the movie here.

I CAN'T WAIT!!

I loved the show, but I gotta say that trailer looks uninspired to say the least. looks like the trailer for another season rather than a feature film. Where's the conflict? Your summary sounds like it's just another series of events like the show, which worked with its episodic nature, but as a movie, there's gotta be more.

Too bad Mandy Patinkin is certifiable and no one wants to work with him, because he's a great actor.

Still. Really cool show.

Great news! Now, If they did this with Tru Calling and Veronica Mars as well....that'd be perfect.
