This is a really well done parody of supposedly the first 3 pages from Diablo Cody's new script called "Quotey" - very funny.

Funny stuff. The script is priceless and the review is hysterical. Jennifer's Body sounds pretty bad; let's hope Cody tunes the hipster stuff back a little bit as she does her rewrites.

Haha the parodied script was dead on! Very funny stuff.

Whilst I'm probably one of the biggest Cody detractors on this site, I do think the review was kinda unfair at times. Especially the grammar bit. He's basically complaining that her characters don't express them self in the most cogent, grammatically efficient and sensible way at all times.

What’s wrong here? First of all, she’s got four different things she’s comparing simultaneously to the woman staring out the window to describe her state, which she’s just told us is catatonic, so it kind of defeats the purpose of a simile.

I mean, come on. If he was grading an academic paper then fine, but people don't always know how they're going to finish a sentence when they start it, they stryggle to find words and some may not be able to express themselves as lucidly as would be the maxim of proper speech. Also his beef with "like" (which he's shocked to find 10 TIMES in the script) is kinda being anal. Ever watch My So called Life?

P.S. I was gonna go with a Buddy Ebbsen reference, but House already did it. Damn it!

I enjoyed Diablo Cody at the Oscars... "this is for the writers!!!"

As if she'd been a struggling screenwriter for 10 years, not as if her agent suggested to 16 months ago "you oughtta write a scrennplay".

Diablo Cody screams one hit wonder.

They'll get tired of her gimmicky nonsense soon.
