No thread for this so far?

OK....who's gonna fess up and admit they enjoyed this? It was a lively, funny film. Maybe a bit pat and heavy on formula, but it sure worked.

It was a good example of how to slyly tweak and make fun of fairy tale conventions in a smart way, actually using the fairy tale cliche to make a joke work - as opposed to the awful Shreck approach of just tossing in a million current culture references on things that are popular right now but won't be in five years.

My only real fuss is the ending felt a bit rushed and I didn't feel any real danger at the end...would have been nice to make the climax a bit more thrilling ( and how many times has my g/f said that?) but since it was aimed at a family audience, guess they played it a bit safe.

In the end, a great deal of fun and sweetness here. Amy Adams was just great.

I saw this and I also thought it was a pretty good family movie. Not nearly as bad as I thought it'd be.

I love it! It's the only recent Schwartz score I can stand.

Amy Adams needs an Oscar. Now. She was robbed for JUNEBUG.

I'm also gonna admit I enjoyed this movie. I'll agree with mikep and say it was very formulatic (if thats a word), but the majority of movies these days are. Killer catchy soundtrack though :P
