Am I the only one getting this message rather frequently when trying to access the board?

You will be seeing the Internal Server Error more and more over the next few days. In short, increased popularity along with 'upgrades' by globat have resulted in increased load on the shared hosted server where simplyscripts.com resides. I am in the process of moving to a dedicated server, however the configuration and uploading of all the data is going to take some time.

Quite a mess.

My account (and several other people's accounts) seem to have been deleted. Is this a side effect of the site migration? Should I just sit tight and wait, or re-register under my original username?

Mine was disabled too but Don was able to get it back up and running.
