First I lurked.

The more I read and checked the site out, the more I felt I was being left behind by not registering and really taking part here.  

Having friends/family read your stuff is no real good past about fifth grade.  I've usually written only for myself, something that has just been a necessary part of me for as long as I can remember.

However, doing something necessary, even if done often, doesn't mean you do it well.  So here I am ready to put my babies out in the real world to strangers' eyes.  Only a stranger can say with all honesty that your baby is ugly.  LOL!
